Find the Kana
Read a sound and find its katakana among look-alike letters.
See a katakana letter and pick its sound. Hear it after every answer.
A quick warm-up: 5 questions. New questions every time, until you've seen them all.
Katakana has the same sounds as hiragana, written in sharper shapes. Each question shows one letter and four sounds. The wrong options are the famous traps (シ and ツ, ソ and ン, ク, ケ and タ), so you'll learn to tell them apart.
Try these in your head first, then open each one for the answer.
shi (ツ is tsu)
so (ン is n)
ku (ケ is ke, タ is ta)
